I don't have a flower garden here at the SUMMER HOUSE.....yet.
I am hoping to do a little container gardening a little later in the season.
We are still having fairly cool nights...no where near freezing ...
but cool enuf to make plants droop...and drop leaves...
So until the right time,
I'll share my previous post of

I love the ideas of gardens and plants. When I get a house, I plan on making gardening family time while my mushy is young enough to enjoy it!!
ReplyDeleteYour faux flowers looks so real!!
Yes, this in between time is just right for faux. I will pick up some pansies and plant them for some outside color. They are such happy little flowers that can tolerate the chill, but not the heat. I like how you said that the faux tulips look beautiful until they are placed beside the real thing. Them's pondering words.
ReplyDeleteYour pictures of flowers are beautiful but that picture of the iced tea... now, that spoke to my heart!
ReplyDeleteI never really like faux flowers much. As soon as touch one, it's like looking at a lie all the time.
ReplyDeleteIf only real flowers lasted that long, or more than two months.
Adam makes me laugh out loud....he is one of my very favorite bloggers...
DeleteI love those faux roses too. Such a sweet topiary! I hope you and your husband are feeling better now.

I'm with you on that note...can't wait to be in the garden. We get one week of warm weather ..gets us out to do the garden chores..then
ReplyDeleteWham Bam boom it's freezing again......
Love your wee post!
You have put me in the mood for PINK today! This is happy and yes, the good Lord sends us gifts everyday! Lovely post BJ!
ReplyDeleteThe ground here is still a bit too soggy to be out in the garden. I'm ready but the weather isn't. :)
ReplyDeleteVery pretty photos today BJ. Beautiful tulips... gotta go to Trader Joe's and pick up some. I love seeing herbs grow on a kitchen window sill but every time I've ever tried little fruit flies take up residence!

All of your flowers look fresh to me! If they bring joy, how wonderful is that! Sweet post, BJ!

BJ, I love all your flower photos. I am holding off on planting any more flowers for about a week. We are to have frost the next two mornings. Yikes. It's hard to endure the cold after those nice warm days of spring. I love the tulips. I use real and fake flowers too. I just today put some fake tulips on the dining room table. I should get a shot of those. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
ReplyDeleteyup, sounds like you definitely need to put your fingers in some dirt and set up some pots and tubs and containers. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun post- faux or not? Sometimes it is hard to tell. I am anxious for plants, too, but here we have another month of possible heavy freezing. I am so over winter this year! xo Diana
ReplyDeleteGreat post. I will be planting more flowers this afternoon. Have a blessed day. Madeline
ReplyDeleteWish I could share my real ones with you. Why, I do not know, they have just gone crazy with bloom., I am sure the storms will ruin them to night. I love yours real of not.
ReplyDeleteSo soon the real tulips will bloom, and you can have them both inside. I have been known to admire flowers in a business place, only to be told " They are artificial"!!! Well, they looked so real, and colours to brighten a day, let them be there.
ReplyDeleteFaux or not, as long as it makes you smile is all that matters :)
ReplyDeleteThose tulips are gorgeous!

bj ... just enjoy your beautiful faux flowers ... some rooms would be very sad without them. Just can't have plants/flowers in the house all the time unless they are faux. Nice to have fresh whenever possible. I am sure you will find a way to do some container gardening this year.

This time of year I miss my garden so much I can't hardly walk past a selection of plants without getting one (or more) for the house. You can do a lot in containers, and wouldn't they look pretty around the pool area?
ReplyDeleteUntil then so pretty
ReplyDeleteBeautiful tulips! I can't wait to plant some flowers, but it's still a little cool here, too.
ReplyDeleteBJ, sometimes the faux flowers can look very real. Your tulips are very pretty, and it's such fun to have them and the irises in bloom.
ReplyDeleteJean I love your flowers they are so pretty. I have so much more to do outside this Spring.
