Good Morning, friends.
Another light snow out here on the plains.
I took these photos early in the morning and I have NO clue
as to why they all turned out.....
BLUE.
SNOW on 1/22/15
Not a lot of snow but it is just a bit more moisture West Texas always needs.
I think we had 3 or 4 inches but it was so wet, it almost melted as it fell and what
did accumulate melted pretty fast.

....just a shot of the pretty, curved fencing around the swimming pool.
Our frosty back fence...
isn't it so pretty with the fence all encrusted with snow and ice.
Hanging out with TEX for her fun GOOD FENCES party.
Pretty 'snow' pictures, especially the fence. The pie and tea sound perfect for this evening.

ReplyDeleteOh, BJ. Those are called blue hour photos! There is a magical time at early predawn and right after twilight called blue hour. Go to Between Naps on the Porch Blog and look for her posts explaining it. Or just google blue hour photos. I have a couple on my blog, too. The ones out my window in my old room... Yours is amazing with the frosty pool. Love it!
ReplyDeleteAs usual, it looks like you have made something delicious! Hugs.

ReplyDeletei get that same blue with snow pic's, or just black and white, it's kinda cool. lovely winter images!!!!
Hi BJ, love your frosty West Texas Fence. I remember those days. The first year we lived in your town we had 64 inches of snow. Everyone said the Yankees brought it!! LOL That was around 1980. Good thing we kept the snow blower from Michigan. LOL Great bluish pics too!! Now your pie looks so delicious!! When can I stop by?? LOL
ReplyDeleteVisiting from Good Fences.
Hugs,
CM
The blue pictures of the snow are so pretty. It has been cold here but the sun is shining and so far no snow. I am so looking for forward to the spring. Your pie looks so good. Have a blessed day. Madeline
ReplyDeleteJean it does look pretty. Oklahoma got hit big time with rain last weekend and we are still waiting for it to dry out. I'm soooo ready for Spring and to start planting.

How do you go from snow to perfect weather?? Maybe I should move to your neck of the woods. Here on Long Island, we are drowning in snow. It is terrible to drive in and even worse to walk through in my heels. Ug
ReplyDeleteBJ, the snow actually looks quite beautiful in blue! Nice shots!
ReplyDeleteThe frosty back fence is neat. The snow and ice make nice sights, but I am glad we do not get much. Been very cold here this week, but as you said in the 70s or 80s weekend. I will love it.
ReplyDeleteI hope you read the Between Naps info on the Blue Hour which happens 2x a day..... so pretty! And that pie looks fantastic.
ReplyDeleteLovely fence shots. Perhaps the white balance was not set correctly for the first 2 shots. just a thought.
ReplyDeleteNice fences. I found it funny to see snow around the pool with water still in the pool. Loving your backyard fence and the looks of that pie.
ReplyDeleteBrrrrrrr . . . I want Texas to be WARM!
ReplyDeleteYour frosty fence is so pretty! It seems you have gotten an unusual amount of "winter" weather down there this year...and then summertime weather for the weekend. Believe me, 70's and 80 IS summertime weather in Michigan ;>) I swear I'm coming to spend a few weeks! Lol
ReplyDeleteSoak it up... That nice warm weather will be so pleasant.
ReplyDeleteMy hubby would go for that coconut cream pie...I am more of an apple pie kind of gal...LOL
ReplyDeleteThat fence sure is pretty dressed in white.
Well you have the strangest weather down there!! We have much more snow and more on its way…wish I could feel some 70' weather!! Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteLove the picture of the fence in the back with the snow and ice. Great pictures.
ReplyDeleteI am looking forward to that nice warm weather the next two days ... maybe even up to 80°.
Warm hugs,
Audrey Z.
where are you at in West Texas? I might just come over for some pie and tea..LOL...molly
ReplyDeleteHaHa , forgot to say, I'm in Abilene....molly
ReplyDeleteVery pretty pictures. I like the blue. And the reason things turned blue is because the color temperature was cool. :-) Blue is a cool temp, and golden colors appear when you're shooting with a warmer color temp. :-) To adjust it, just change your white balance.
ReplyDeleteThat's the perfect snow I would enjoy seeing.
ReplyDeleteWe are to be in the 60's this weekend.
Enjoy the weather!
