I found a recipe in a COUNTRY LIVING magazine from last year and couldn't wait to try it....
Go HERE
for this delicious recipe....
Now, I've put CHEESE in my biscuits and cornbread before...
but THIS recipe called for FRESH GROUND PEPPER, too.
So, I mixed them up, following the recipe to a tee
except that I made only HALF of this recipe and had plenty of biscuits.
Were they good...???
O..HONEY !!
See all the pepper throughout the biscuits....?
The shredded cheese ( I always use SHARP CHEDDAR)
and the fresh ground pepper made these some of the most flavorful biscuits, ever.
I always bake my biscuits in a large, cast iron skillet
and they have crispy bottoms, which I LUV, and the inside
is fluffy and sooo good.
I took my
LEMON CURD
out of the fridge and
had a feast fit for a KING.....
I had a sunny spot to enjoy my breakfast...
the SUN....the colorful PILLOW...and the bright yellow of the lemon curd just started my day off...
full of sunshine.
I DO love me some LEMON.....
AND....
if you have biscuits left over...
you can split them..
slather a little butter on each half.....
slide beneath the broiler
and
you get your WILDFLOWER HONEY, straight from FRANCE,
pour yourself a hot, fresh cup of DUNKIN DONUTS coffee,
get out your new COUNTRY LIVING magazine ,
spray yourself with a GREAT SMELLING PERFUME...
light a beautiful candle...
and call me so I can come over and join the FUN...!!!
(OK....this honey IS from France but....
I bought it at WORLD MARKET....
OOO, ain't life grand !!
Love, hugs and kisses, bj
