This fence surrounds a olden, abandoned lumber yard and I guess
they treasured their lumber...
look at that barbed wire across the top....
I pass this humble fence on the way to my daughter, STACY's house.
It's barely outside the city limits of Lubbock.
...THIS is the beautiful fence
in our backyard....
oh, thanks for joining in the fencery, bj! :) link opens early in the morning (5:30) but you don't have to get up that soon. ;) unless, of course, you're making some sweet rolls (of any flavor), then i'm coming over!
ReplyDeletei love all the different types of fences - wood, barbed wire, mesh, wrought iron. (and i loved the two of you at the top!)
Very interesting - I love picket fences around a Cottage home - had one but it was falling apart so I had the handy man take it down. This way you can see my flowers better.
ReplyDeleteI must say that you look so much like your beautiful mother in those pictures - also love that neckless.

Love the photo Stacy posted! You look like an actress... a cross between Audrey Hepburn and Rita Moreno perhaps?
ReplyDeleteI enjoy looking at the posts for this meme. I don't get out enough to find fence scenes. Glad you found some! That barbed wire looks nasty, but effective. My favorite is the one you found at home.
Loving that photo that Stacey posted of you and her wearing the same necklace. You have always been a beautiful woman! Great fence pictures!
ReplyDeleteFab photo of you two in the same necklace!! Fun idea to take pics of fences!
ReplyDeleteWow you look so much like your pretty mamma!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat fences BJ!!
ReplyDeleteFirst off- I love that picture of you and your Mom in your header. You are both beautiful women! Your Mom was just gorgeous an so are you! Good genes, baby!
ReplyDeleteLove all your fence pictures, too. My hubby's family owned a lumberyard and they ended up putting barbed wire around the top of the fence, too. People would back their trucks up to the fence and scale it and then toss the lumber over and steal it...also there were toilets, etc...and you would not believe the amount of theft that took place. It is a crazy world sometimes. xo Diana
I'm stunned at how much you and Stacy look alike! How lucky for both of you. :)
ReplyDeletenice fences

ReplyDeleteHi, BJ. I follow you over at my classic film blog, but I've recently started a home-centered kind of blog, so I'm following you under that profile too. (I still have my classic film blog, but I've grown weary of only writing about films.)
