OOO, the ORANGENESS of it all.....

When I was a little girl in Dallas,

an olden truck much like the one above,
would come by our house,
selling ice cream and block ICE.

There were two kinds of ice cream that I always bought...
FUDGESICLES
and

ORANGE DREAMSICLES.

I still love both of them to this very day....
and especially ORANGE.

 Soooo,

when I saw THIS on the grocery store shelf, you can bet that I bought TWO boxes.

I KNEW that I was gonna love these...

and I am SUCH a
SEMI HOMEMADE girl.

My cookie making PEPPERMINT ANGEL and I got busy this morning
and made these delicious bites straight from HEAVEN.

They have tiny bits of orange all thru each cookie...SOOO good.....

and just delightful.

I also bought the ORANGESICLE frosting to go on these amazing cookies.

As most of these icings are a little TOO SWEET for my taste,
I added fresh squeezed
ORANGE JUICE
to the icing and it came out just perfect.

Bet you could use bottled orange juice, too.

Folks, if you like ORANGE flavor,
don't be afraid to buy this mix.

Believe me...they are delicious....
but, then again, I LOVE ANYTHING ORANGE. !!

I baked mine for 10 minutes, as the box states, and they came out light,
and airy and those bits of orange makes them delicious.

See how light and flaky they are...

I'm TOTALLY sold on these babies.

I hope you have an ORANGE DREAMSICLE kind of day.

  10. Hi bj ... you have made me hungry for something sweet and those cookies should do it. I love orange flavor, but nothing too sweet. Those cookies look so delicious and I would be happy to just have one of those delicious looking oranges ... I will be baking sugar cookies this week-end ... not extra sweet nor iced or decorated ... just plain old sugar cookie is how my family likes them. Hope you have been able to slow down a little and enjoy you new home. Have a wonderful Christmas (I know you will) ...
