Hi, Folks...
I've been off line since last Friday
as our server just can't seem to get it all together.
It has to be the way this lovely pool/guest house is built
as David has no trouble at the big house.
The service man came out on Friday,
which, at the time, all tv's and my computer were working fine..
not sure what he did
but instead of asking if every thing was working good before he left...
he just left.
All 3 tv's are getting no signals
and NO INTERNET...
Well, he will be coming back on Monday (I hope)
and in the meantime, I will use David's internet.
BERRY HAND PIES
make my heart sing and my tummy SOOO happy.
I had strawberries and blackberries....
together into a red pot...
a little sugar to taste...
a little cornstarch to thicken..
a bit of flour...
a cap full of ALMOND flavoring...
dash of cinnamon
and gently boiling until mixture begins to thicken...
Now, I'm not sure EVERYone loves
Crescent Rolls
and
Puff Pastry
as much as I do....
I unrolled the crescents, brushed with melted butter,
and put a spoonful of the berries into each little roll...
roll..
a bit more butter, sugar and cinnamon
and into a 350 oven until nice and brown.
....I could barely get the oven door open to take these morsels
out of the oven...
Mr. Sweet was hanging tight to his spot right beside the stove,
with a glass of cold milk in hand.
After slapping his hand away,
I made a little glaze icing to dribble over the warm pies...
just powdered sugar,
a little Vanilla
and a little milk....
the next time you are at the market, buy a can or two of these delicious canned Crescent Rolls...
a basket or two of your favorite berries......
I think you will be glad you did....
...and be SURE to HIDE tuck one or two back
because one, with either cold milk, hot tea or a cup of Dunkin Donut coffee,
makes an AWESOME bed-time snack........
I know I would love these for sure!
ReplyDeleteDon't think they could look any better and trust they are as good as they look.
ReplyDeleteI hope they can figure out what's wrong. I made homemade cinnamon rolls today...soooo good! I'll trade you one for one of yours! Hugs, Diane
ReplyDeleteNo matter what or how you prepare shimmering, I would eat it. I understand about the computer issues. Mine was in the shop about a week. I did not like the way it was doing when I got it home. I simply restored it to another date and so far works fine. Holding my breath. Glad you are feeling better.
