Hello, all...
I am hoping that if YOU were in the latest snowstorm,
you are getting things around your house back to normal by now...
you are getting things around your house back to normal by now...
We are having sunshine bright and warmer days right now...
I just heard on the news that a small snow might be heading our way but that it wouldn't last long .

Sunlight is pouring thru our French doors this morning
as we are eating our scrambled eggs with cheese and ham bits....
buttery toast and CINNAMON toast.

Remember....with me, it's not about the FOOD...
it's the PHOTOS of the food.

Growing up, our mom made cinnamon toast every morning for my brother and I.
It became a life-long love for the both of us.

My ferns love the winter sun in this sunroom/dining room of ours...

and then curling down again...

ReplyDeleteNever seen a berry on a fern:) BUT... it's pretty! I have been having scrambled eggs and toast lately! It fills me up and is mighty tasty! Enjoy your day dear friend! It is a rainy one here! HUGS!
ReplyDeleteOh that slant of light on your breakfast plate...beautiful. I need some scrambled eggs...no breakfast here yet and that would do the trick. Love that sign: You shall have your cake and eat it, too.

First time I have seen berries on a fern . . .. . ,

ReplyDeleteAnd forget to ask . . . what was funny, what were you laughing about!
LOVE that photo . . ,
Not a single one of us can remember what was so funny...
DeleteThe fern is really pretty and I've never seen a berry on one. Could I have some of those eggs , please? Looks really good. It'scold here in Dallas, but no snow in the forecast. Hope if you get it, it melts quick!
ReplyDeleteBJ, Your breakfast looks so tasty. I like that you have kept up your mom way of making cinnamon toast. Loved your shadowy photos. Are you tricking us? I have never seen berries on ferns ...ever. :):) Blessings to you and yours, xoxo,Susie

ReplyDeleteCinnamon toast. Haven't eaten it since my grandmother gave it to me as a child. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThe berry on the fern is a first for me too.
ReplyDeleteMy mum always made cinnamon toast too, though my dad made the best, as he had a heavy hand with the butter. Yum!
Bj, your breakfast look a lot like mine, minus the ham bits. I have scrambled eggs with cheese and cinnamon toast almost every morning! Yummy! :)
ReplyDeleteYummy breakfast. We had the egg and cheese part this morning. And now I'm hungry for cinnamon toast. That is a beautiful Kale plant -- I tried to grow ornamental kale one winter (back in Oregon, in our other life) but it didn't work so well -- too rainy I suppose.
ReplyDeleteYummy breakfast. I only had toast. Starving waitin' on Tuna casseorole to get done. I had a hankerin'. It is sunny here but it fools ya its pretty cold. Maybe it'll warm up in a little while.
ReplyDeleteLove photo's and great post!
Have a wonderful Thursday!
Mmmmm, scrambled eggs and cinnamon toast....your breakfast make my mouth water.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures.
MMM love scrambled eggs with cinnamon toast!!! Love the sunny pics. Our snow is gonna be here for awhile:)
ReplyDeleteEvery meal at your house would be a real treat. Nothing fancy here. Sometimes right out of the pot. Have you lost any followers? I noticed since blogger is making changes, I have lost some.
ReplyDeleteHi bj :)
ReplyDeleteI think you've convinced me to have eggs and toast for dinner ;)
Happy belated Birthday, my dear friend. I wish you health and happiness for many years to come. I would never believe you were 78!
hugs to you,
rue
wow, that berry was a surprise! we had a cool-down here today but expecting a warm up again soon.
ReplyDeleteI had to go to google images to see if I could find ferns with berries and it showed an Asparagus fern. Interesting...
ReplyDeleteFood for photos is the thing around here, too!
Glad to see the snow is off your pool -- those eggs look great!
ReplyDeleteHow pretty is that purple kale !!!! Never had purple kale before ..Any recipes?
ReplyDeleteBJ, your fern looks so healthy and happy. I always kill mine somehow. I love the purple kale! And I am envious of your cinnamon toast. My mother only made it a few times a year and it was delicious!
ReplyDeleteSuch a happy, sweet post, bj. Love that asparagus fern and I have NEVER seen a berry grow on a fern before. Only you could coax a RED berry out of that plant. lol Everything looks as delicious as always. Trying to get a few blog visits in tonight while hubby is feeling good. xo Diana
ReplyDeleteGosh i love cinnamon toast and havent made that in ages!
ReplyDeleteI was just thinking I ought to bring my asparagus fern and aloe inside, though the weather here is very mild. We haven't really even had winter yet! I grew up eating cinnamon toast, too. I rarely make it nowadays...but maybe tomorrow morning...
ReplyDeleteGreat light on the water in the first photo and so adore that tall mug + message.
