~ Coffee ~

LOVE IT !!

I can't even remember when I DIDN'T drink coffee.
My mama loved it....my daddy loved it...
and they gave it to me....HALF MILK....plenty of SUGAR,
most of my young life.

This is my favorite coffee of all time...
it comes in so many DELICIOUS flavors and I love them all...
especially Old Fashioned Donut.

Original Blend is what I buy the most.

I've bought FOLGERS for years and love it, too.

I have found that the
SIMPLY SMOOTH
is my choice of late.

Never bitter, even when I make it stronger...

just a good, all-around taste of the worlds
most famous coffee.

I like my coffee with some kind of sweetner.....

I do without the creme my mama used in my childhood coffee....
(well, SOMEtimes I put a little whipped cream in my cup....*shhhhhhh)

but here's a way to "sweeten the pot" (well, CUP, really)
that I find just delightful.

WERTHER'S ORIGINAL COFFEE flavored.

Drop one into your cup of hot, steaming coffee and be carried away on a delicious coffee trip.....

Have you noticed that coffee or tea taste BETTER in a cute CHRISTMAS CUP....???
MEEE, TOO !!

I adore Christmas cups and haunt the thrift shops for really cute ones.

Throw in a toasted biscuit
and I am a happy camper !!

" HI, SANTA....."

ok....here's another way I like to Sweeten The Cup....

HAAGEN-DAZS
COFFEE flavored ice cream...

a scoop (or TWO) into a hot cup of your favorite coffee and
you will swear you've died and gone to HEAVEN.....

OOO HONEY !

and it sure doesn't hurt if I have a waffle, orange slices and....
bacon...!! :>)

  12. Funny thing, coffee is one of the few flavors that I despise - it is such a bitter taste to me (anything coffee, even ice cream, jelly beans, etc - almost makes me gag) BUT the irony, I LOVE the aroma of coffee!!!

  13. I enjoy a good, HOT, coffee as much as anyone. Only thing it is not hot enough for me when buy a cup. I like the regular or flavored. I will have to try your brand. Anything you recommend has to be good. Stay warm.

  14. I do not drink coffee anymore but I used to. I liked mine with a little bit of Jack Daniels in it once in a while. I also would drink it black with a little equal in it. Your Christmas coffee cups are cute. Have a blessed day. Madeline

  16. I've never tried your trick with Werther's, but I can vouch for the ice cream. We are fans of our Tim Horton's and look forward to a morning cup of joe...lately, it's been so cold that we have a second coffee session mid-morning. (It has been kind of slow.)

  18. Oh, I just love your posts that feature food and drink!! I swear by Dunkin Donuts French Vanilla and I had to wean myself off their cream...just too much sugar and fat. I'm proud of myself and I still get to enjoy their coffee.

I have to remember that about the candy...how great!! :)

    XO.

  19. Well, I finally went to facebook and tracked down your comment with your new blog address on it. I don't know if you got my email..but I've been going nuts trying to find your new blog. I clicked on yur name but it took me to your old blog. Soooo anyway...here ah is! :)
    I've missed you! LOL
Your "low" comments are what my "normal" comments are. Have you ever noticed how many hits you have compared to how many comments...it's strange.
I used Folgers coffee and have for years and years. I have tried other brands and rush back to Folgers! You cannot make a bad cup of coffee..that old ad was true. Simply Smooth you say? Ok..since I trust you totally, I shall go buy it and try it!
Gosh, but it's good to be home...I mean back! :)
    Love,
    Mona

  22. You have such a sweet blog and I love your food tips! I was given some coffee samples by my daughter-in-law from HEB. The Austin blend was wonderful! It has roasted pecans and coconut in it. I think I may request some from "Santa" this year as there are no HEB stores near us. I must try some of your additions to your coffee too!

  24. Hello bj, I too love my coffee with a bit of cream and Splenda. A piece of pumpkin bread doesn't hurt. Smile. I had that this morning just when I swore I was going on a diet. Such is my life.

Folgers is very good coffee and my usual purchase. However, now we use K-cups with our Kurig. I think Folgers has come out with K cups. I too love a bit of whipped cream sometimes.

I too have had limited time for visiting but after the season I will be back on track. "Tis the Season' and busy is an understatement. I still have shopping to do. Sigh!

Have a great weekend my 'sweet' sister friend. Cookie Day with my sisters is this Weds. Oh Joy!!!
    Love, Jeanne
