I save all of them...have some pages taped to the inside of kitchen cabinet doors.
I had 12 pages laminated and used them for PLACE MATS at my last Bunco game.
♥
They turned out so so cute...
colorful....
just wipe off....
and can be used over and over.
The "girls" loved them....
♥
♥
they looked so cute on the tables..
Our Bunco group consists of 12 ladies...
3 tables of 4....
After eating, we clear the tables and
LET THE GAMES BEGIN...:)
♥To add a little fun,
I placed a Christmas Tree ornament in the middle of each table...
(these were removed after eating lunch, but I made sure to remember which ornie was on ea table.)

♥ ♥ ♥
Before the ladies arrived, I put a WINNER
sticker under one chair at each table.
At the very end of the games,
the ladies looked at the underside of their chair and the ones sitting in the
WINNER
chairs won the tiny ornament to take home with them.
♥♥♥
I made sure to tell them that every time they looked at their ornament in the years to come to be SURE and remember how much I love them.
I'm gonna give Susan's

ReplyDeleteHaving the pages laminated is brilliant! They are so cute and you can use them over and over again! I don't think I can make biscuits with buttermilk but I'm sure these will be yummy! Enjoy your evening my friend! Hugs, Diane
ReplyDeleteI meant to say I can't make biscuits WITHOUT buttermilk! lol Or cornbread either! I just don't always type what I mean! haha! Now I'm hungry!

ReplyDeleteHi BJness! Oh, what a cute idea with the calendar pages That was a cute way to get a winner of the Christmas ornies too. I just love Susan Branch. Do you remember, I think in the 1980s, she had a page in one of the country decorating magazines. There was always a recipe in her sweet writing and she had embellished all around with pictures in her way! Have you found her blog? It's marvelous! She lives like a regular gal and I love that! She has this old timey stove in her kitchen. I wish you and your family a blessed Thanksgiving, sweet friend.
ReplyDeleteYou're always a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
I love this idea for placemats. Never thought of it before!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea for calendar pages, you Clever Gal! Susan's are particularly adorable. I am displaying some of the same ones you are...the Delicious Autumn heart is on my cobbled stove top jelly cupboard. It's hiding a boo-boo that I don't like. What sweet ornaments and how fun for your friends to take something special home with them.
ReplyDeleteI have not ever heard of those calendars- how cute! That was a super idea to laminate the pages for bunco and a cute prize for the winners. I definitely love any bread smothered in honey butter- yummy!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great way to make place mats. Some of the calendars I keep because they are so pretty. Great way to save them. Thanks so much for the idea.

ReplyDeleteMy favorite ornaments of mine had been the ones I made when I was little. There's a lot on the tree where I can remember where I got them and when.
ReplyDeleteI love her art and to make placemats out of her calendar pages is brilliant! and oh so cute! Your Bunco ladies must have a great time when they come to your home!
ReplyDeletehugs,
Linda
Oh, what a neat idea. And a sticker of any kind would work. Just in case someone dropped something on the floor and reached down to pick it up and saw the sticker. If it were just an ordinary sticker from a child's sticker book, they would think a kid put it there and be clueless that there might be a prize. I think I'm going to use your idea soon! :-)
ReplyDeleteyour festive post just made me so happy!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea to laminate the calendar months like that! Love it. I've got one of her calendars on my wall to the right of my computer. I so enjoyed her book about her trip to England. Your tables looked great for bunco!
