For The Birds Rerun

Sometimes I go thru all my olden posts
and when I see one that I had a lot of fun with,
I want my NEW friends to see it, too.

This post is from  2013...
******************************************
ADORABLE PLACE CARDS

Now, I ask you...
is THIS PLACE CARD not one of the cutest you've ever seen...??
OOO,
and notice the NAME on this card....

EXCUSE MEEEE while I FALL IN LOVE !!

This cute idea came from COUNTRY LIVING magazine...
boy, I just LOVE that magazine.

At the risk of being run out of Blogland on a rail,
I will take this time, ladies and gents,
to say that I've never, EVER used PLACE CARDS at our table.
****************
But when I saw THESE CUTIES, I decided to make a couple.

I think they are just adorable...
and super, SUPER easy to make.
You can make these, too, if you'd like.
Go  to Country Living link and, using card stock paper, you can print two birds per page.
Cut out and fold in half as directed.
(present time)
OOPS....
I just tried the above link for instructions on making these place cards
and it is no longer there.
You may can Google it ......OR,
you crafty people can probably make your own pattern.

UPDATE:
Here is the link to the pattern:

Just found a link: here you go. http://clv.h-cdn.co/assets/cm/15/27/559438d82082f_-_pigeon-placecards.pdf

Our sweet friend, JEANIE  sent me the pattern link.
I am going to make several more...they are sooo cute.
just print and cut and you are in business.

THANKS SO MUCH, JEANIE

....using strips of paper 5/16" wide x 6" long, (I just eye-balled it)...
curl the ends around a pencil to get the curl you want...
Write the name you want, looping one end of the paper around the front leg
before sitting it on a plate.

They really are fun to make....

You could print up a stack, go ahead and cut your little strips of paper ahead of time...

Then, just before your dinner, you can write the names and
be ready for them all....
:>)

These really would be cute with a
centerpiece of  a
"nest under  glass" along with more bird nests...or little bird houses....or ......

lots of ideas come to mind.

I'm using my mother's CLEAR GLASS VINTAGE CAKE PLATES
for chargers....I love 'em.

All my PINK roses are spent right now....
in between the last and the next blooming session.
So, only a few Apricot roses left...

WE NEED RAIN....!!!

Who SEZ you can't use PLACE CARDS and VINTAGE CHARGERS
for a bowl of
APPLE JACKS....???

It was fun having a cute table for our breakfast of CEREAL...:))
hahhhaaa....
LIFE IS GOOD.

  4. BJ, I love the little bird place card. I have used place cards for my sisters' luncheon...just to keep the two short ones on the right side of the table. They fit on the different chairs. LOL. Some times I think of your Mr. Sweet....he was a happy person in your pictures. So I imagine him smiling with a place cards for a bowl of cereal. :) Blessings to you, xoxo, love, Susie
