...strawberries and cream

I love strawberries....
I especially love 'em with cream ♥ ♥ ♥

I was at the grocery store the other day
and they were giving out samples of this remarkable PIE...
 ♥ ♥ ♥
I knew the minute I took a bite of that luscious sample
that I was going to make that pie.....

This is the EASIEST and very QUICK pie to make.
Easy and quick and very show-stopping  beautiful.
Your family and/or friends will be impressed !!!
I mean, gosh, I impressed my own silly self ... 😄😁

This is so simple,
I'm not sure it can even be called a recipe...

STRAWBERRY MASCARPONE PIE
1 (8 oz) container mascarpone cheese
1 (8 oz) container creme fraiche
1 cup heavy whipping cream
2/3 cup confectioners sugar (powdered sugar)
1 baked pie crust  *** I used a graham cracker crust***delicious
fresh strawberries
2 tablespoons strawberry preserves, melted
**********************************************************
Combine mascarpone and creme fraiche...
beat at medium speed with and electric mixer until smooth.
Add cream and beat until soft peaks form.
Add powdered sugar and beat until stiff peaks form.
Spoon the mixture into prepared pie crust.
top with fresh strawberries...brush berries with melted preserves.
*************************

This pie is a little pricey to make...$$$
creme fraiche...$5.99
mascarpone...$6.49
plus the heavy cream and strawberries...
sooo
I will be making it only for special occasions.

but it's sooo good...so if YOU make it,
serve it with a big SMILE
and an I LOVE YOU ! !

  1. Gosh! That is expensive! Those products are made in Vermont and I have never noticed them. The pie sure sounds heavenly! (Would the flavor suffer if sour cream and cream cheese were substituted for creme fraiche and marscapone?)

  20. I'd love this pie! But I don't remember ever seeing the Vermont products in stores here. I'll have to look closer next time I'm in the Big Town. Your photos are so pretty!

  21. Oh my this sounds like to die for.
It is very similar to a family favorite that uses cream cheese on the bottom, but this could only be better.
Local berry season soon will be here. I can hardly wait.
