I Can See The Handwriting On The Wall

WOE IS ME...
I adore signage ...
and I am afraid I have way too many signs in our Summer House.

Any of my friends out there in BlogLand that love
RAE DUNN pieces ?
I do !!!
but, boy howdy, they are PRICEY !
Every now and then you can find a stray piece at
 HOMEGOODS
for a very reasonable price.

My sweet girl found these two mugs,
FAITH
and
PATIENCE

Thanks, Stacy
 ♥

I bought this banner several years ago and hang it every winter.

...found this sign in a thrift store and love it...
it's so tiny....
then

our daughter, STACY, gave me this REALLY TINY sign...

 so I hung them together,
on my coffee bar !!!

This is but a few of my signs and will spare you a long read
and post the others another time.
I want to thank everyone that's emailed me and called
to see how I am doing.
I am ok...
we all have to go thru something like this
and, tho my life will never ever be the same,
I am going to be fine.
I didn't think so at first...
but time is a great healer and while I will never forget Mr. Sweet,
I find thankfulness every single day that I was chosen to be his wife.

My sweet son in law, JENT, lost his father this week.
We are all so sad.
Jent and Stacy's kids have lost both their Granddads in 7 months.
Please pray for their whole family for strength and comfort.
We love them all  so very much.

  1. First, so sorry you son in law lost his father, sending love to him and his family. I know firsthand that grief takes time. I sometimes felt guilt when I laughed or felt happiness after my parents and sister passed, but that is what they would want.

I love signs, too. I'm fussy about them. Rae Dunn is so popular, she nails it. I bought a bunch of her mugs for myself and gifts over 3 years ago and the price was very reasonable. :))

  2. You have been in my thoughts and prayers.....I know I may face this one day. You are a shining example of being real and having faith.
Love all your signs! My aunt once said long years ago.....Linda has so much on her walls! You can’t read them all in one day!

  3. So sorry about the loss of your son-in-law's dad. May God comfort all of you. It's good to read about how you are doing. I'm sure those grief moments come up here and there with no warning. You had a good relationship and that makes for precious memories. Thankfulness is so good for us! I'm partial to signs, too. Just got one for our daughter in law that just says Be Still. She quit her job of many years and is just going to stay unemployed for a season. Blessings.

  8. I am glad you are getting your feet back under you, bj. You are a tough gal on so many levels and I know that God has you in the palm of His hand. It is good you can look back on the blessing of your years with Mr.Sweet, but also look forward to the promise of a good life ahead of you.

So sorry for the other losses in your family!

    Love the signs!! xo-Diana

  10. Had never thought of it before, but yes, I do love signs and they are all over around here. I think you have used yours cleverly!

Praying for your dear grands who have lost their grandfathers within a year. Not easy for them. May they feel the comfort of The Lord.

  11. Losing two grandparents in such a short time must be hard. Mine were more spaced out. My paternal grandpa died quite a bit before I was born. My paternal grandma died when I was in high school. My maternal grandpa died last year and my maternal grandma is still living.

  15. I love love signs too. I just got a new one yesterday with my favorite saying on it. I love Rae Dunn mugs too. Praying for all of you as you go through loss again. BJ you are such an inspiration to be able to continue on after losing your wonderful Mr. Sweet. I know that gives us all hope that even when you have profound loss and feel you will never breath again your story shared shows you can. I know it is so hard but the fact you are finding out how strong a women you are to keep going with your life is beautiful. Hugs and Happy New Week.

  19. What a year it has been. And now Jent's father too. Much sadness in your family. I know you have great strength but sometimes it feels like a bit much.

Your signs are such fun. I have a few but not many (I'm out of walls and space!) They tell me lots about you (all good.)

  23. I love signs and also Rae Dunn. I'd love to have some new mugs, but first I need to weed out some old things that I no longer love. Working on it!
I'm very sorry to read about Jent's father. Hugs to you and your family. xx Cheryl

  24. I too love signs but have only one in our Greek home: Life without cats/I don't think so. Which is so fitting now that I am here and surrounded by those little furry ones who have no one else to love them. So glad to read that time is helping to heal the hurt (which I know will never go away) but hopefully all those Sweet memories you have will continue to be tucked away in your head and your heart! Love, Jackie

Sorry for your family's loss, prayers.
