One Potato, Two...........

First comes the BUTTAH...
and then the sprinkling of the  BROWN SUGAH..

...next comes the MARSHMALLOWS....

You know what they say about MARSHMALLOWS.....

...and, what's a BAKED SWEET POTATO
without PECANS...
Oh, yeah, baby.....

Finally, a generous sprinkling of CINNAMON...
 According to Jerry Seinfeld:
" It should be on tables at restaurants along with salt and pepper.
Anytime anyone says, "Oh This is so good. What's in it?"
The answer invariably comes back, Cinnamon. Cinnamon. Again and again."

Hot...
melty...
absolutely DELICIOUS....

Eww-E-Gooie
 and TO DIE FOR...

It's so rich and filling,
I can only eat a half.
Since Mr. Sweet doesn't like his sweet potato SWEET,(where IS he from..??)
he won't eat the other half....sooo
I fold the skin over the other half, cover it in Saran Wrap, pop in fridge
and have it with my next meal.

 It's the addition of marshmallows
for me...
that's what takes it all over the top.

I dearly luv marshmallows.

I hope you have a
MARSHMALLOW kind of day.

xo bj

I am feeling almost back to normal...still resting during the day.
I am FAR from finished with my re-doing rooms and not making
HUGE changes but I am beginning to see the light.

  4. I wonder who was the first person who decided to put marshmallows on sweet potatoes? I know it's popular but it does seem like a random combination.

  5. I love sweet potatoes but not with marshmaloows. Love it with butter, salt and pepper. I am more of a savory not a sweet type of gal.

  6. Sugar Overload Alert!!!!!

    -giggggles-

Never had anything but butter, on my baked sweet potatoes. But that brown sugar and pecans and cinnamon, sound tempting......

    Sweet hugs,

  8. I love those buggers. So flippin' good. And a girlfriend got me to swap them out for tinned pumpkin, when making pumpkin muffins. Delish. And soooo soft.

Have a great weekend. I'm sitting for a short break and then back to cleaning the hall where the washer and dryer are. The plan was to sew but I'm still having fun on the house projects.

    Sewing soon though.

  9. I LOVE sweet potatoes like that. To make them just a little more sinful, I add caramel sauce (like for sundaes). YUM! I got that idea from Texas Roadhouse.

  10. I love sweet potatoes, but I have to admit, I would eat the marshmallows on the side ;) Have you ever tried oven fried sweet potatoes, cut in wedges, tossed in olive oil and baked? My girls used to get excited every time I made them.

    God bless.

  12. Oh my goodness, BJ! I have NEVER had a sweet potato with marshmallows..OR pecans, for that matter. With DH being diabetic, I used to put a little butter & some Splenda Brown Sugar & cinnamon on ours. I will try it your way next time, for sure!
    I have to tell you, I RAN to stick some raffia beneath the little pumpkin I have under my cloche & now I'm looking for a cute hanging tag like yours. You've inspired me twice today...thanks!! {{HUGS}}

p.s. Did you hear that CeeKay passed away? So sad http://thinkinofhome.blogspot.com/2015/09/thank-you.html

  21. Hello Miss bj, Guess what I'm making this weekend after seeing this post! Yes, I am making the delicious looking sweet potatoes. I can't wait for Thanksgiving or Christmas when we always have the casseroles but this will be just the right size until then. Love your pretty vignette with the cloche and cup.
    Have a great weekend..........

  22. BJ, I think Mr. Sweet and I are from the same place. I like my sweet potatoes baked or roasted just plain. '-)
But I do like marshmallows! Enjoy your sweet dish!

  23. OMG...I luv sweet, sweet potatoes! You do add those pecans (which I usually forget to do) and I KNOW that sends the concoction over the top!! That's such a great way to save the other half that you didn't eat!!

Hope you have a great PS weekend!!

  25. Could that be construed as " Overloaded", but it looks and I am sure tastes very delicious!!!

  26. Yummy! I love sweet potatoes and will eat them plain. My mom would slice cold cooked SP length ways into 'planks' and fry in butter and brown sugar. Caramelized sweet potatoes. Happy Pink Saturday!

  27. Looks yummy, but I might lean more toward mister bj's inkling . . .
You sure make everything look tempting though!
