This HAS to be the most FUN project I've ever done...

It turned out even better than I had dreamed and 

I AM HAPPY.....:>)

The Bermuda Bay paint color is just exactly what I had in mind.

As I've had TROUBLE with paint colors before, I am especially proud of choosing

a color that is neither too bold or too pale...

Do you have trouble choosing the right color paint from those micro  paint sample cards..?

I'm just walkin' my olden black hutch across the floor from the bedroom

into the newly refurbished CLOSET ROOM'

She is needing some TLC in the
worst way....

She's already beginning
to fit right in...

....she is going to LUV
her place in this amazing
CLOSET ROOM.

She's been telling me ever since we moved in that she wanted to look like she belonged in a SPA.....

WELL.....WHY NOT !!!

...remember that luscious paint I fell in love with...
...the BERMUDA BAY.... ?

hutch in mind when I picked this color...

How cool you're gonna look once I get thru layering the makeup....

I'm gonna put hot pink lipstick and big pearl earrings on ya...
well....

Hi, everyone.... Hope u had a good weekend. We surely did.

I've been fluffing and nesting and laying eggs making my closet room sooo pretty.

I shared with you the vanity Mr. Sweet built for me in there.

He also built the stacking washer/dryer closet...

Since this room was painted a dark color....

and no window to be found,

it was sooo dark in there.

I smiled, twisted around a bit, and promised him a delicious cake,

if Mr. Sweet would add a window....

and he said OF COURSE....

was it the smile and twisting or the promise of a CAKE that did the trick,

I'll never know for sure.

(However, at our olden age, I'm pretty sure he was thinkin' of a
GERMAN CHOCOLATE CAKE,

his very favorite...lol

 Regardless as to WHY....
our new window is IN....

I brought my vintage black shutters from the olden house and Mr. Sweet installed 2 of them on either side of the large opening, into the closet room....

and I am IN LUV. !

I propped up the other two shutters beside the new window..

yes, they are TALL shutters...

and I wanted them beside this window sooo bad...

but can not bring myself to cut them off....
just can't do it...what if, later, I decided I wanted to make a screen with these vintage shutters.....nope.....not gonna cut them.

So, here they are...

It's called a LUCKY 7 table...

Wouldn't it look AMAZING in this space beneath the new window...!!!!





But....wait a minute....

...here's a little table.....a BASKET TABLE,
that I already have....

 I can add this 7 to the little basket and....

 have my own little LUCKY 7 TABLE.....

O, I do love it when I can shop the house and not spend one single red penny
to create a new look that I just looove......:)

 

You can bet that I am going to be looking for a nice little table and have

MR. SWEET

make it look just like the LUCKY 7 table I am dreaming of.

In the meantime, I am lovin' how the little BASKET table looks in my spruced-up space.

and I love having extra drawer space...

Have I told you lately how much I LOVE this pretty and fun SUMMER HOUSE..?

Spring decorating can be so fun....

I've been doing SOME spring-like things...

but, I want to do a whole lot more.

I am knee-deep in spring projects right now...
and lovin' every minute of it...

You've seen these photos before but I need
a break from posting new stuff until I get these projects finished...

 This bright, indoor/outdoor rug has been with me since last NOVEMBER.

It's cheery SPRING/SUMMER look has carried us thru all those cold, bitter days
and kept a smile on my face thru OLD MAN WINTERTIME.

The terracotta of the walls have warmed us to no end...
when the hot summer comes along...I'll just add a few  TROPICAL  plants in this sunny room
and fall in love, all over again... 

The choice of using the LUSCIOUS  color of TURQUOISE is about as  SPRING as you can get...
well...
and it works all year round....
don't you LOVE  COLOR...!!

WHITE  WICKER....

White wicker says SPRING/SUMMER in a most delightful way... 

I changed the mantel for winter but the above look is one I will go with in the HOT SUMMER...

Haven't thought of a SPRING THEME for this vintage fireplace.

What are YOU going to put on YOUR mantel or piano or shelf or......?? 

I just LOVE changing things up so I'll hunt for cute ideas.

It doesn't bother me one bit that I used a PAPER BAG in the color I love....why NOT...??

Any doubt that THIS arrangement isn't yelling,
SPRING....SUMMER...FUN TIMES..??

As I look around with SPRINGTIME in my mind, I believe I am already well on my way to getting this 

beautiful SUMMER HOUSE ready to welcome SPRING and SUMMER with open arms.

OOO....there's lots of OTHER things I want to do around here....

I'll start putting away wintertime throws but leave a few lighter weight ones out...

air conditioning makes me cold sometimes..

I'm such a wuss !

 I've been looking for a large WHITE owl vase for months...

then, today at WALMART....

there it was !!
...under 10 bucks...

I am lovin' it...

 I know not everyone gets their heart racing over
BLACK AND WHITE...

but.......
I do.

I LUV it for a base color to make all other colors I use really POP....

and when I saw this amazing rug in black and white, I nearly got a whiplash, looking all around to see if anyone was going to try to get it before I did....!!!

But I got it in my cart and
double-dog dared anyone to try to take it away from me.

 

A little 36x56 fun rug for under $30...

Our DEEDS left for a Mission Trip with her church group to ARLINGTON, TEX.

THIS kind of "sisterly love" photo makes my heart swell to near bursting.
(I just had this photo printed in an 8x10)

I am so blessed that it brings me to my knees.

Believe me...I give HIM thanks every single day for those blessings.
