~ RUBBISH ~

"If people see me having dinner with a beautiful woman, they immediately believe that I'm having a love affair with her.
Of course, that's RUBBISH. I'm not a playboy..!"
George Clooney

(I hope, since he just got married, he's NOT a playboy.)

"If you're going to make RUBBISH, be the best RUBBISH in it."
Richard Burton

"Networking is RUBBISH; have friends instead."
Steve Winwood

Being a blogger, I STRONGLY DISAGREE with that quote.
Some of my BEST FRIENDS are thru the net.
And, to all you talented DIY'ers and FAIRY GARDENERS....
I keep eyeing that olden trashy WHEELBARROW....

....should I get it off the trailer before son hauls it all to the dump..??
...what would I REALLY do with it, especially thru the long winter..??
do I REALLY want it ?...........nooo.....NOT REALLY.
(as soon as he hauls it off, some of you will have the BEST ideas
what to do with an old, beat up wheelbarrow and I'll kick myself..)

  2. I think my quote would be "If people see me having dinner with a beautiful woman, they immediately believe that's she my cousin and then they ask for her number".

  3. I was going to say you could fill it up with flowers- something cascading down one side..:)

  10. With your ideas, no doubt you can make great use of the old wheelbarrow. I have seen them in several yards around here. Junk makes nice yard decorations.

  11. One man's junk is another man's treasure. Right?

  12. If it is not gone already, it would be a cute place to put some hay and a few pumpkins near your front door...

  14. I am thrilled to see your pool cover here! I have never used mine not once and cannot stand the thought of throwing it away. But when I looked on ebay (to consider selling..Craig's list too) it's not worth the hassle! and much to big to put on the curb! You've inspired me!!!

  15. Spray it with red rustoleum. Fill it with greens and Cmas things and solar lights, perfect for Cmas, and July 4th , it can be for flowers or an ice bucket! Grab it quick!

  16. Love the Richard Burton quote! Great old trashy wheelbarrow, but it looks like it needs to wheel on over to the dump! :-)

  17. Yes, I have a lot of "friends" through blogging and I cherish them. I have a question. When we lived in Lubbock, a favorite outing with friends (infrequent because we all had small children) was to shop at Margaret's and have lunch at the Crepe Suzette. Are, by some small chance, they are still there? Such fond memories!!

    Best,
    Bonnie

  27. A planter is what I thought of too ... petunias maybe. Junk is in the eye of the beholder.

  28. If you released the wheelbarrow, do not feel bad. Of course, all these ideas are super, but so also is the deep breath of air and internal peace from releasing too too much stuff... I so need to learn this. Hugs!

  29. Now that's fine rubbish! I agree. I've met some really great friends via blogging.

  30. I remember having such fun with a wheelbarrow when I was growing up.
